Nurturing Narratives, Forging Forward
As Grace Lee Boggs reminds us, “love isn't about what we did yesterday; it's about what we do today and tomorrow and the day after.” The reopening of Asian American Writers’ Workshop’s space last year showed us so clearly what it means to share in this love, this homecoming, this future we’re building together.
To continue this crucial work, we call on you, our luminous community, to make a tax-deductible contribution of any size. In a time where cultural funding is at an all time low, you would help us to:
- Continue to hold events that are free and open to the public
- Work toward necessary organizational infrastructure growth
- Raise our standard honorarium for writers and guests
- Revitalize our library and open our archive to the public
- Provide more scholarships for in-person and virtual workshops
- Set aside a dedicated accessibility fund for ASL interpretation, live captioning, and more
- Pay our rent so we can consistently provide space free of charge for community partners, collectives, and organizations
For over three decades, from a diner dream to a literary legacy, AAWW has been dedicated to uplifting Asian American and Asian diasporic writers and readers alike. Help us nurture our narratives forge forward in mobilizing our literary communities toward a more just future today!
